Here’s the tentative Itinerary (details will be confirmed as the mushing season shapes up – we will offer the safest and best trip location based on trail conditions and snowpack):

DAY ONE

Mushing School at our Paws Mushing Site in Fairbanks Fairbanks **Guests need to find their own overnight accommodations this night in the Fairbanks area. We suggest, A Taste of Alaska Lodge: www.atasteofalaska.com – We are located on the same property as this beautiful upscale Alaskan-style B&B located just 20 minutes from downtown Fairbanks.

DAY TWO

Travel by vehicle to Copper Basin area – home of the Copper Basin 300 sled dog race (exact location will depend on snow and trails). Stay at a local lodge. An approximately 5 hour drive with all gear and dogs.

DAY THREE

Mush 20-30 miles; backcountry cabin or lodge stay this night

Mush 20-30 miles; backcountry cabin or lodge stay this night

Mush to trailhead and stay at a local lodge in Copper Basin.

Travel by vehicle back to Fairbanks.
